A big shoutout to all the amazing mums who make weekends like this possible! 💐

From sideline cheers to early morning lifts, we couldn't do it without you.

Here's how our Minis, Juniors, and Ravens enjoyed their Mother's Day rugby...

Under 6s | Zachary

We all traveled to Melksham for an exciting training session on what was easily the nicest day of the year so far. We focused on essential handling skills, complemented by drills and some speedwork. Although the recent clock change and Mother’s Day meant fewer participants, spirits remained high, with the children displaying great enthusiasm and teamwork.
Zachary earned the Coach’s Player of the week award for his outstanding effort and skill development. He also showed hard work and good sportsmanship. Well done Zachary.

Under 7s | Elsie & Euan

On another lovely spring morning, we had an excellent session at Melksham. There were excellent tries scored and the games were truly end-to-end affairs.

Once again it was really tough to pick player of the week because of the number of excellent performances on display. As a result we had 2 players of the week this week. Euan got it for his really good listening and try scoring. Elsie got it for her support running and efforts in defence, particularly impressive given she has only been with us for a couple of weeks.

Under 9s | Oscar

Oscar is our player of the week, his tackling was on point, great support running and loads of tries scored. He continues to impress with his ability to listen to instructions and implement what he has been coached.

Well done Oscar, keep it up.

Under 10s | Millie & Alex

Millie put on a master class of support and determination against Melksham. Working tirelessly around the pitch to make tackles, supporting runners and always organising the lines of defence.

Alex was our tackler of the week leading the line up in defence, closing down the opposition and putting in solid tackles on their strong ball carriers. All round great attitude and organisational skills.

Under 11s | Fintan

One player who has shown huge improvement over the last few weeks and really demonstrated that yesterday was Fintan, who was just everywhere - he tackled everything that moved, made some great runs and was just full of energy for the whole game - totally deserved player of the week!

Under 13s | Aiden

Aiden was the U13s Player of the match against Thatcham. Aiden scored a hat-trick of well-taken tries by finding space at the edge of the opposition defence after nice team passing.

Under 12s | Daniel

There were some great individual performances out there today and some hard work put in but..

This weeks player of the week for the under 12's went to Daniel.. who showed great awareness to set up a try for a team mate, along with some good tackles and winning the ball at the breakdown… and topping it off with a try himself. Well done Dan!

Under 14s | Riley

Player of the week went to Riley! His work rate was phenomenal despite Illness and helped to put us on the front foot with some of his typical strong carries. He also had his best game defensively too, making some great tackles.

I’m sure his attempt at a backflip after the game will live long in the memory! Certainly long enough to be brought up at Kangaroo court on tour 🤣

Under 14s | Josh & Seb

Players of the week go to Josh and Seb for the Oldfield match. The sheer work rate from both in attack and defence is always impressive, vitally securing the breakdowns and guaranteed supporting lines from both players. Well done Josh and Seb!

Under 15s | All our mums

U15's travelled to a bright and breezy Marlborough today. With the Oppo short of players Bassett boosted their numbers so the had a 15 a side game.

The contest was energetic with a fair bit of skill on show. A player of the week for us is All the Mum's who put in the effort every single week!

Ravens Under 12s | Bath Next Gen

We had no match this weekend. A few of the Ravens did a Bath Next Gen training session at Melksham.

Under 16s | Chris

What a day at the office. We were in control of our own destiny but it appeared sometimes we did not realize that!!
We got over the finish line that is a symbol of the progress we continue to make. Our man of the match was well deserved by scoring our first try, brining an energy to the press and then his final tackle was as good as scoring a try. Well done Chris.
