Easter Tour’s over… and what happens on tour definitely stays on tour! 😉

After a busy Easter break away for many of our teams, our youth players returned enthusiastically to the pitch this weekend — perhaps a little tired, but full of stories, laughs, and ready to get stuck back into the rugby.

Under 6s | Lochie

U6 player of the week is Lochie - He’s done really well in the games, supported his team mates and scored many tries!

Under 7s | Ben

We had a great turnout for our final home training session of the season. The players got stuck into some skills work before moving into a match where everyone had plenty of chances to run, pass, and support each other.

Ben was named Coach’s Player for showing excellent attention, helping the coaches with volunteering, and performing really well in the games. A brilliant effort from him and the whole squad.

Under 8s | Elsie & George

Last week we had our rugby tour at Paignton, which was great fun and the rugby was very good too. The player of the week was Elsie, who got lots of tags and scored brilliant tries, including a scorching one down the wing.

We had training this week and we concentrated on defending in the drills. This paid off in game play when the defending was aggressive and coordinated. The player of the week was George, who was all action in defence, but most impressively of all was really disciplined positionally in both attack and defence.

Under 9s | Noah

Player of the Week this week was Noah. Noah paid close attention and executed well during today's drills. As a result, he played brilliantly during the games, making a number of big tackles, whilst demonstrating a wider understanding of the game.

This week's Tackler of the Week award went to the whole squad. Everyone played well, and demonstrated a huge improvement on recent weeks. Well done everyone!!

Under 10s | Isaac

A big shoutout this week goes to Isaac, who continues to impress every time he steps onto the pitch.

Although fairly new to rugby, Isaac has taken to the game like a duck to water. His spatial awareness is outstanding—he consistently puts himself into the right areas and communicates well, calling for the ball with confidence.

When he gets possession, Isaac is a fierce runner, carrying the ball with real strength and intent. What’s equally impressive is his ability to distribute, looking to bring teammates into the game and create opportunities out wide.

All of that came together in a fantastic performance this week, capped off with a well-earned try.

👏 Well done, Isaac—keep it up.

Under 11s | Dylan & Sid

Player of the week was Dylan who was really sharp in training today, cutting great lines and showing quick footwork around the field. He had an all round excellent attitude throughout the session.

Sid was awesome in the breakdown with great body position, technique and physicality when rucking. He was once again our Rucker of the week. Great effort boys!

Under 12s | Freddie

Freddie was PoTW for his understanding and running of the new backs moves in training.

Under 13s | Joshua

Joshua put in a first-class display at fullback, covering every blade of grass on the pitch. His work rate without the ball was outstanding, constantly tracking back, stopping opposition attacks, and putting in the effort at the ruck.

With the ball in hand, he was just as impressive—finding gaps, offering great support play, and running some excellent lines that broke through the opposition's back line. Well done, Joshua

Under 14s | Charlie

The U14s had a good contest at Thatcham. Charlie was voted as player of the match by the opposition. He ran the game well at fly half, leading to the team running in some great tries.

Under 15s |

We want to recognise the ten players from RWBRFC U15s that have been playing for Bath or Gloucester PDG.

This is a tremendous learning and development prospect for the players. They have worked hard and embraced the opportunity, seeing them develop as individuals and bringing that learning back to the club.

A great testament to the individuals and to RWBRFC.

Congratulations Seb S, Oscar S, Kian M, Jayden J, Josh P, Finn B, Jack Y, Greg H, Yitak L and Tom M

Under 15s | Jake

This weeks player of the week for U15s goes to Jake!

Dependable work rate both on and off the ball. Fantastic line break in the first 10 minutes that put us in a position to get points and defensively aggressive, slowing or stopping attacking opportunities. Great work Jake!

Ravens Under 12s | Eliza

Raven of the Day - Eliza Waugh for a superb performance - moving the ball with real speed, getting in behind the defence, and making the most of excellent support play. A constant threat throughout!

Ravens Under 18s | Lucie & Emily

A great game of rugby today with quality on both sides of the ball. Sharp catching and passing, big tackles, and a real contest up front made it a brilliant watch from start to finish.

Huge credit to everyone involved but a special shout‑out to our Players of the Match Lucie and Emily L, who led from the front and made a massive impact throughout.
