Our friends and teammates revealed their talents on stage last Saturday at 'Bassett's Got Talent' - a Karaoke & Talent Night at RWBRFC.

The club talent night took place at Ballards Ash after winning the final 1st XV game of the season.

The event opened with Club Captain Gavin Ougan 'Live from Longleat' projected on the big screen singing 'On The Road to Amarillo'.

Then taking to the stage in front of a packed clubhouse, compère Chris Elias introduced a range of diverse acts such as a Proclaimers tribute, talented guitar players, sing-along classics and a cross-dressing ballet performance.

Dave Martin was the first live act of the night with a rendition of Oasis' 'Half The World Away'.

Rhys Floyd then got the crowd singing, encouraging participation in his excellent cover of 'American Pie'.  

His father Dave Floyd then showed where the lad got his talent from, by giving the crowd a spellbinding performance of 'Rhinestone Cowboy'.

There was something very different next when "dance" troupe members, Charlie Hix, Gary Darragh, Elye Darragh, and Cam Thompson showed off their lightness of feet, poised posture and graceful choreography. Mindblowing.

Alex Norcross then got the crowd singing again with his version of Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline'.

Another Oasis classic next, with Dave Lynch's flawless cover of 'Wonderwall'.

Finally, double-act Glyn Parker and Chris Elias belted out an enjoyable tribute to The Proclaimers with '500 miles'. 

Following the individual performances, and a short interval, the entertainment continued when '6 Chancers', a super-group made up of some of the previous performers took to the stage for the second half.

With Liz Floyd on keys, Dave Floyd on drums, Josh Rice and Tom Bloxham on rhythm and lead guitar and Dave Lynch on bass, plus the silky vocals of Danny Randall, the group belted out crowd-pleasing rock classics such as AC/DC's 'Back In Black' and The Undertones' 'Teenage Kicks'.

As an encore, Danny Randall took to the stage one more time for an electrifying performance of club-favourite 'Mr Brightside' - a cue for everyone in the room to rush the stage twirling their shirts overhead. An incredible finale for the evening.

With the range of talent on show throughout, Bassett's Got Talent has established itself to be a surefire annual event - so rehearse those vocals and practice juggling your balls ready for the return of BGT next year.
