Royal Wootton Bassett RFC has launched an exciting new crowdfunding campaign to help fund two modern pitchside dugouts, complete with secure equipment storage—giving players and coaches the facilities they currently lack on matchdays.

Right now, there are no dedicated pitchside shelters or storage areas, meaning players are left exposed to the elements and coaches are regularly hauling kit back and forth across the grounds. With the British weather rarely on our side, creating a safe, dry space for teams has become a real priority as the club continues to grow.

The project aims to raise £20,684, which will cover the installation of two team dugouts with integrated storage, along with the necessary groundwork and base preparation. These improvements will protect valuable equipment, improve safety and comfort, and enhance the overall look and usability of the pitches.

But to make it happen, the club needs your support. Match funding is ready to be unlocked—but only if we can raise the initial amount together as a community.

Get involved!

There are plenty of ways you can get involved and make a real difference:

  • Make a donation – whether it’s £5 or £500, every contribution helpos - and remember to add gift aid if you are able to.
  • Support as a business – local companies can sponsor part of the project, fund a specific element, or donate rewards and prizes to help drive pledges.
  • Fundraise your way – take on a sponsored run, host a quiz night, organise a raffle or bake sale—every effort helps.
  • Spread the word – share the campaign with friends, family, teammates and colleagues to build momentum.

This isn’t just about new dugouts—it’s about creating a better environment for everyone involved in the club. From young players taking their first steps in rugby to senior teams competing each weekend, these facilities will benefit the entire rugby community in Royal Wootton Bassett.

Every pound raised goes directly into improving the club, supporting its growth, and helping us provide the best possible experience for current and future players.
