After missing their rugby last weekend because of wet weather, our Minis, Juniors and Ravens were keen to get back to it this weekend!
Under 6s | Tyler
Tyler was player of the week. Did some great defending and scored tries.
Under 7s | Jacob
Jacob was player of the week for U7s for world class effort!
Under 8s | Oscar
Good carrying of the ball and direct running, well done Oscar!
Under 9s | Millie & Harry
Millie was player of the week. Millie showed amazing support play today. Popping up on the shoulders of her team mates, scoring tries, creating space and opportunities. Awesome job!
Harry was tackler of the week. Harry’s effort and determination was on show with a tackle master class in never giving up. Great stuff!
Under 10s | Billy
It was great to see Billy putting in such great effort in the drills, then applying that into the games today, plus Alex kept working really hard on his tackling and it really paid off with a big hit at the end - both well deserving winners of player of the week and tackle of the week.
Under 11s | Daniel
Well done to Daniel for picking up Under 11's player of the week. This was for great listening skills , he took onboard what was asked of him through the session.. and great commitment through the drills. Well done Daniel!
Under 12s | Rio
Rio is our Player of the Week and wins Rufus the mascot for effort in training and strong carries in the game at the end of the session.
Ravens Under 12s | Florrie
The Raven U12s played the West Berks Warriors. The team showed great rucking and communication. Our player of the match was Florrie for vary spacially aware and great off loads.
Under 13s | Seb & Mason
Two players of the week. Seb who is an absolute work horse and whose support play and offloading was excellent ending with him getting a deserved hat trick. Second was Mason whose confidence is growing with each game, got his first try for us today and a brilliant assist, also dominated his opposite number at scrum time.
Ravens Under 14s | Erin & Bella
The Ravens under 14s played the West Berks Warriors. In a hard fought game, the Ravens ran out victorious. The coaches player of the day was Erin. The Warriors chose Bella.
Colts | Squad
The Bassett Colts put out a winning performance against Melksham Colts at Ballards Ash on Sunday in their Cup Quarter Final. They will face Frome Colts at Home in the Semi Final on Sunday.
Under 16s | Lewis
With an outstanding game of rugby, Lewis displayed his ability to influence a game with his high work rate, speed and desire to get his hands on the ball, he punished the opposition with some fantastic runs. Lewis has been with the club for many years and is a valued member of the squad.
