It looks like it was a busy weekend for our age-group teams.  Here is a roundup of how our Minis, Juniors and Ravens got on, plus news from our new Walking Rugby team!

Under 6s | Marcus

Marcus got player of the week for doing a great job of organising the defensive line during the tag game

Under 7s | Jake

Jake was player of the week for 100% effort.

Under 8s | Remi

Great work and attitude from Remi today! Awesome attack and communication.

Under 9s | Rastik & Kitaya

Rastik was player of the session for his listening and implementing the coaching feedback that was seen in the games at the end.
Kitaya was tackler of the session as she put in great effort on every tackle and listened to the feedback given by the coaches.

Under 10s | Thomas & Rory

Really pleased to see Thomas get tackle of the week today, especially as he’s only been with us for a few weeks. And Rory was a well deserving winner of player of the week for his work rate and determination today.

Under 11s | Elliott

Elliott showed great support play along with determination and great tackling, scoring several trys in the process.

Under 14s | Squad

A home game against Old Pats for U14s this weekend. Great play from both teams, leading to a close and exciting game, with RWB edging the win in the final quarter.

Under 15s | Alfie

Today we took on Hucclecote for the second time this season. Alfie has played the beginning of the season in the centres but today he started at in the back row at 6. He worked incredibly hard all around the park and turned over a number of balls against the head. Well done Alfie! Also well done to Zac Abrey who made his debut for U15 today.

Under 15s | George

George was solid in defence and really direct in attack hitting some great lines and getting us over the gain line time and time again.

Under 18s | Chloe Reeves, Viv Grzesiuk, Kiera Chard, Kate Warlow, Lucy Upton

Five of our Ravens team were selected to play for Dorset & Wilts U18 Ladies in a County match against Berkshire at Ballards Ash on Sunday. The final score was Berkshire 19 - 10 D&W, with Viv scoring one of the tries.

Bonus news | RWBRFC Walking Rugby Team

On Monday evening our new Walking Rugby team played their very first fixture, away at Melksham. Bassett won 2 games and drew 2 games, learning a lot along the way. At the end of the night both teams celebrated with beers and bacon sandwiches in the clubhouse.  A big thank you to Melksham for hosting us!

Walking Rugby returns to Ballards Ash for training on Monday. New players welcome!
