In recognition of the valuable advice and assistance given to our club during our relocation ten years ago, it was with great pleasure, gratitude and respect, that we were finally able to award an honarary Vice Presidency of the club to Johnathan Bourne.

Johnathan was Town Clerk of Royal Wootton Bassett for 32 years. On his retirement he was made a Freeman of the Town - the first ever in its long history dating back over a thousand years - for his exceptional service.

Johnathan was a key figure on the Council leading to the successful relocation of Royal Wootton Bassett RFC. He had the wisdom to foresee that a successful rugby club and sports association - the relocation of which he was also involved - would be for the greater good of all in our town.
