D&W Tribute Cornish Pale Ale Team of the Month

Royal Wootton Bassett RFC 1st XV has been named Dorset & Wilts Tribute Team of the Month for September 2024.

On behalf of South West Rugby, Sean Macey presented the team with a celebratory slab of Tribute Cornish Pale Ale in recognition of their outstanding performance.

The 1st XV earned the award following their return to Regional 1 rugby (tier 5 of the rugby pyramid) this season. Three wins from four games (with their only loss coming away from home at current league leaders Exmouth) has put them in a strong position.

Their latest victory came last weekend in a local derby against Marlborough RFC, securing bragging rights and making them the highest-placed team in the twin counties.

The 1st XV will look to continue their impressive start to the season with a home match against Lydney RFC on Saturday, 12th October.
