Following the RFU announcement this weekend delaying the start of the competitive community rugby season until the week commencing 21st September at the earliest, we would like to provide an update on rugby activity at Royal Wootton Bassett RFC.

We will work with the clubs involved and, where possible, look to rearrange these fixtures for later dates.

Pitch & Site Guidance
While the ground at Ballards Ash remains extremely dry and hard, we ask everyone to help us protect the facilities:
- Players should wear moulded boots or trainers wherever possible.
- Spectators, parents, and all visitors are asked not to smoke on or around any pitches due to the increased fire-risk.
We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm to return to rugby, but the safety of our players, visitors, and the long-term condition of our pitches must remain the priority.
Please watch this space as we continue to provide updates as conditions and RFU guidance develop.
