During our Minis Rugby Festival on Sunday we were very pleased to welcome RWBRFC Colt Billy Sela back to the club to present a match shirt from his recent tour of South Africa with England U18s.

Billy began playing rugby when his family moved to Lyneham in 2016 and both he and his brother Leham joined Royal Wootton Bassett RFC. His first ever match was at Ballards Ash playing in a RWBRFC shirt.

Billy continued to play rugby at school with Royal Wootton Bassett Academy and as part of our junior teams before joining the Bath Academy programme.

During his first year of Colts as an Under 17 player, Billy was selected for England's U18 tour to South Africa, where he played in all three games vs South Africa U18s.

Billy started the two tests as tighthead prop and in the second game on tour vs South Africa 'A', Billy came off the bench to score two tries, sealing a late victory for England 36-34.

On Sunday Billy presented our club with his 'two try scoring' shirt from his second England game, before handing medals out to players in the Festival's U12s competition.

Billy now attends Beechen Cliff school in Bath to continue his education where he will be part of the school's Bath Rugby programme.

Above: Billy's shirt was accepted on behalf of the club by Finnley and Alexis from our U11s team.
